201321 · Highlights Hydrogen sulfide behaves as a nucleophile and a reducing agent. Hydrogen sulfide decreases the amount of nitric oxide released by NO donors. Hydrogen sulfide alters the normally observed biological response of nitric oxide. Snitrosothiols and nitroxyl probably form from hydrogen sulfide and nitric oxide. Hydrogen sulfide reacts with Snitrosothiols by transnitrosation or displacement.
To meet those demands, Alphasense has introduced a new class of metal oxide gas sensor. Traditional ntype metal oxides suffer from baseline drift and humidity sensitivity however Alphasense ptype metal oxide gas sensors have more stable baselines and very low humidity sensitivity. Three variants have been designed for specific markets:
Hydrogen Sulfide Sensor ptype Metal Oxide Technical Specification This sensor responds well in the temperature and humidity extremes of the oil and gas industry. Unlike common ntype sensors, this ptype sensor has a large dynamic range, repeatable response, low humidity response and resistance increases in the presence of H2S.
